Our History
Fiona and Joseph Kajue decided to set up a school together in October 2009 to help underprivileged children around the Manjai and Dippa Kunda area.
Future & Progress
We have come a long way since the day Chris raised the question of why Kodou could not continue her education at Jofi Modern School having completed grade 6.
What makes us different
At Jofi School, children individual needs are of great concern, there are 2 remedial teachers employed, one for nursery and one for primary. Children are allowed to develop

OUR FIVE-YEAR PLAN
Jofi school aims to provide children with a good foundation and the skill to improve their standard of life. Not every child can follow an academic path.
It is important that young people learn self-worth. By the time they reach grade 9 they have only received the foundation they need for the future. Our vision is to open a skill centre where they will
be able learn trades that will enable them to acquire skills for future employment. Our dream is to see them owning and running
businesses for themselves and becoming the employer rather than the employee!
The Gambia lacks quality trades people. It is time the future generation look to building their country and communities. Young people should not feel they need to leave their homeland to gain a better life. The only way this can happen is if they are armed with the knowledge and experience to improve their communities for themselves. Empowering them is the best investment anyone can ever do for a young person.
Teach them to fish before providing food every day!
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
THE FUTURE
We will provide further education to those that can achieve academically and for those less academic
